Sadly the terrible bush fires in Australia have burned down some schools , and whilst the authorities are working on finding temporary buildings, they also lost all their books. Student Led councils from Elementary and Middle School worked on collecting more than 1,000 books to donate to these schools. They created personalized bookmarks with messages for the children in Australia to ‘discover’ inside each book.
What an amazing service and action project our elementary and middle school student led councils initiated!!
Also, the Australian Ambassador to Kuwait, his excellency, Mr. Jonathan Gilbert visited the school and spoke to our students about the fires in Kuwait, answered the students’ questions and accepted our book donation!
