Dear AIS family
I would love to share with you an episode of Studio 104 – the AIS Virtual Pre-K class which is designed around a framework for young learners that focuses on the needs of early childhood. The episodes are both in English and Arabic wherein students learn across subject areas while investigating big ideas, and highlights the learning through play philosophy of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
This program is in conjunction with the live “Pod” social interaction sessions between a pod (six PreK students) and the PreK staff. This builds student-to-student relationships in our current virtual school and enhances development in small children who need to make new connections and learn to navigate new school experiences positively. Students learn to listen, pay attention and share play experiences, explore their feelings and develop their conversation skills.

أولياء الأمور الأعزاء،
يسرّني أن أشارككم حلقة من حلقات Studio 104 والّتي صمّمناها لمرحلة الحضانة PreK لتناسب احتياجات طلبة الحضانة في هذا السنّ المبكّر ضمن البرنامج التعليميّ الافتراضيّ. ويدرس الطلاّب هذا البرنامج باللّغتين الإنجليزيّة والعربيّة في مجالات تعلّم مختلفة قائمة على دراسة المفاهيم.
يقوم هذا البرنامج على فلسفة التعلّم من خلال اللّعب وِفقَ نظام البكالوريا الدولية في المرحلة الابتدائيّة PYP.
هذا بالإضافة إلى الحلقات التفاعليّة بين الطلاّب وزملائهم ومدرّسي مرحلة الحضانة ممّا يمكّنهم على بناء علاقات صداقة مع زملائهم في مجموعتهم الصّغيرة (pods)المكونة من ستة طلاب خلال الجلسات الاجتماعية مع فريق الحضانة. وهذا ما يساعد على بناء علاقات بين الطلاّب خلال فترة التعلّم الافتراضي لتنمية نموّهم الاجتماعي واكتساب خبرات مدرسيّة إيجابيّة مِنْ خلالها سيحذق الطلاّب مهارة الاستماع.
