The canteen at AIS Kuwait offers a number of different international and local food choices for our students and staff. The students in the Elementary School access the canteen food twice a day whereas the Middle School and High School have access three times a day. Blimpies, Lo Fat and D & D Pizza are the brand foods that are provided in our canteen. We have a brick oven where staff and students can buy fatayer and other local bread products. Beverages, pastas, saj and small snacks are also offered in our canteen.
The food served and provided in our canteen is contracted out to local independent and chain brand establishments but monitored and informed by the Food Service Manager as well as the Health and Safety Committee. The Health and Safety Committee has recently surveyed our students from Grade 4-12 to get feedback and suggestions related to food services specifically around the variety of food provided and any recommendations for food suggestions moving forward. AIS Kuwait works hard to provide a variety of nutritious alternatives for our staff and students.
